John P. Kelly joined Ruprecht Hart Weeks & Ricciardulli, LLP as an associate attorney in November 2018.  Prior to joining the firm, John worked at a prominent medical malpractice defense firm in New York City, where he obtained significant experience assisting in the defense of medical malpractice actions brought against physicians, nurses, and medical institutions. 

John graduated from Michigan State University School of Law in 2013.  While in law school, he was a member of the business law society and student housing clinic, as well as the law school’s club ice hockey team.  John received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola College in Maryland in 2001.  After graduating, he worked as a litigation paralegal for eight years at law firms in Maryland and New York that specialized in medical malpractice defense before returning to the classroom in 2010 to pursue obtaining his law degree.

John is licensed to practice law in the states of Illinois, New Jersey, and New York, and is an active member of the bar associations of those jurisdictions, in addition to other local bar associations.  John currently resides in Monmouth County and is an active volunteer with Lincroft First Aid and Rescue Squad, previously serving as Vice President of that organization from 2016 to 2017.
